Habits are easily attached to someone like the flesh to their bones. That is, if we were to discuss certain behaviors or practices of a person that are regularly occurring, we would be referring to their habits. Now, in regards to people who are deemed successful, we are referring those groups of people who made exceptional goals and achieved them. We would be answering the great question of ‘do these successful people have certain qualities, behaviors, practices or even more seriously, rituals, that award them the honorary title of ‘successful.’ Yes, they do but right now, we are more focused on what these practices are and whether or not including them in our general lifestyle can also award us this honorary title.
These habits do not always require physical capabilities but also mental, psychological and social capabilities. One of which includes having a positive attitude, it is of common belief that when you have already pre-determined that something will not work then the chances are that it won’t. When your mind is already open to the idea that a task is achievable, it is only natural for your body to follow.
However, there are situations where just believing that you can achieve something may not be enough. You have to underline the things that are important over the tasks that are less important. The former VP of Public Relations, Notre Dame, France once said “Don’t tell me where your priorities lie, show me where you spend your money and I’ll tell you what they are.” This means that underlining an important task is just as important as investing your resources in what you feel is most important.
As much as you prioritize tasks, you must also prioritize people. Questions like ‘what kind of people do I surround myself with?’, ‘who is most important to me?’, ‘who is a part of my business network’. Like a network of computers, a network of people is made as a support system. One must surround themselves with people who are essentially beneficial to their goal.
All things put it place involving mental and social readiness, you must take action. The millionaires and billionaires of the world do not get to where they are today by ‘letting things happens’. The only way to make something happen is to start
To get to the top, it takes mental and physical discipline along with social and psychological balance. This discipline and balance is not simply an act but a lifestyle that must be incorporated.
